Hi Folks,

This Wednesday July 31st is the annual Crossroads Classic Concord
Criterium. Every year we ask for volunteers for setup and teardown, and
to help manage pedestrian traffic at the crosswalks. Many of you have
already volunteered, but we can always use as many hands as we can get
because the setup time is very short.

Whether you can come early for setup, or later for teardown, your help
would be much appreciated. Here's the schedule and details:

3PM-5 PM: We meet in front of the Cabarrus Creamery and coordinate. We
can help set up the stands, arches and other items. We CAN NOT block any
of the businesses adjacent to the Creamery until 5 PM

5PM: The streets are officially closed and as the vehicles leave, we can
start setting up the barriers and assembling the banners, podiums, and
other items. Bring some work gloves!

6:15PM: The first race begins. We will need people to attend to the
crosswalks to make sure that the spectators don't inadvertently walk out
in front of the racers. It would be nice to have several people on each
crosswalk to allow others the opportunity for nature breaks and drinks.

9:45PM: The Pro 1/2 Race should end at this time, and we start tearing
down the course and loading the barriers and equipment back up onto the
trucks.

10:45PM: Teardown should be complete.

Here's a map pf the area:

If you have ever seen a bike race of Criterium, this is the one to
watch. It's fast paced, tight and probably the most exciting race in
the area.

I hope to see you all there. Please let me know if you have any questions!
