Hi Gang,

*We are going to make some changes to the 6PM TRG ride tonight to
accommodate a drop-In Meeting put on by the City of Kannapolis. *

Tonight, the City of Kannapolis is having a Drop-in meeting to review
the planned bike routes and update everyone on the changes that they are
working on to make biking better and safer in Kannapolis. The drop in
is 5-7pm, at the Train Station on main Street downtown and we will be
changing the direction of our normal Thursday bike route, and going into
Kannapolis.

We will plan on meeting at TRG at 6 just like normal, and leaving as a
group toward Kannapolis. We will route past the Mall on 29, and take a
right by the ChickFila, and cross over the road safely at the light onto
Ridge Ave. If we stay in a tight compact group we should have no
problems with traffic. We will work our way up to the meeting,
dismount, give our feedback, and then get back on the ride. After that,
we will be riding the OLD Pre-Move TRG Route from a few years ago. You
can find it here: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4593583

We will make accommodations for more or less mileage depending on the
daylight and rider ability.

*We encourage ALL riders to attend the meeting, not just K-Town
residents. They are trying to be a model for other communities and we
need to support that as much as possible. *Here are the details on the
meeting:

Hello, thanks for your continued interest in the Kannapolis bike
network plan. There will be a community workshop on *Thursday, May
1* to review and hear feedback on the proposed routes. The meeting
is drop-in 5-7pm at the Train Station (201 S. Main St). We are
proposing a number of routes with the goals of 1) providing
connections to key destinations, 2) establishing routes for
different skill levels (linear and loops), and 3) increasing access
    to safer cycling infrastructure.

The meeting will also include information about the proposed "road
diet" for Loop Rd for those who were unable to attend the Feb 18
    meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to provide
feedback by email, please let me know and I can send you the maps
once they are ready. We'll also post updates on our webpage:
