Ore bike riders on the roads to Lexington it's fun to ride with others for a little bit all are friendly and those that come my way often slow down and visit a while. The roads were good the hills were not bad and when I got to Lexington I called my friend from GA who drove up to see me. He drove over to me with a friend who lives near here we loaded my bike and gear into Dennis's truck and went the 11 miles to where Paul's friends Dennis and Joy live in the mountains. They retired a few years ago and moved from Atlanta to some property they bought in the mountains. They built a beautiful rustic home. Joy started gardening and took her produce to a farmers market. She met other people there a done lady sold feta cheese Joy said she would take some of here cheese to another farmers market and sell it for her. One customer said after sampling the cheese that he would like to take a sample to DC ,about 150 miles away , and show it to a friend that has a restaurant. The friend came out to see Joy and the cheese lady. He said he has five restaurants and wants to buy 400 lbs of cheese a week. It takes 60 days I guess for the cheese to be ready to eat.
So Joy started delivering to DC then someone called them to ask if they would deliver pros eased chickens and some else contacted them to deliver Pork products. They now have five refrigerated large vans and their son has joined them in the business. There went their retirement. Joy even started a farmers market in another town.
We stayed the night with them. Paul has been friends with Joy since High School.
After a great supper and breakfast Paul took me back where he picked me up the day before.
