Hi good people
We are in Destruction Bay of Lake
Kluane in the Yukon Territory.
We stayed first night in Canada in Osoyoos British Columbia just across the border of Eastern Washington.
Osoyoos is a wonderful town of lakes and rivers a popular tourist
attraction. It has a large agricultural presence. They have many wineries and large vineyards. Many peach orchards and cherry orchards.
We traveled on 97 to near Prince George then west on 16 to north on37 all in British Columbia.
While on 37 we saw a mother bear approaching the road with two really tiny cubs tumbling after her. She stopped and waited for us to go by. I had my phone turned off of course so you have to take my word for it. We saw four more bears and moose and a coyote.
We took 37 to just west of Watson Lake, Yukon Territory.
We stayed at a campground at Dease Lake still on 37. At the campground I was standing by the truck and a beautiful red fox came loping up to me and she stopped in front of me and squatted and relieved herself then looked at me fora full minute and looked at her and wishing I had my phone/camera. She turned and loped away. I was amazed at how delicate she appeared. She had very delicate and fragile bones long slender legs dark almost black. She had a beautiful face and perfect ears, I was impressed by her huge long tail I don't know how she could hold it up (straight back).
Next morning we left and we turned west when we got to hiway 1(just west of Watson Lake)
This highway is also known as the Alaska Highway.
We saw coyote and two bears today .
The roads are rough an sections of gravel and quite narrow . We went through Whitehorse and are now camping where I mentioned earlier we were told that the Ice went out of the lake yesterday.
We have no water here because the well is still frozen. There is often snow in ditch along the road and of course much snow we observe in the mountains.
There are many motorcycles touring here and I am proud to say at least 90%of them are BMWs
