A hunting side by side set up fully enclosed with the gun cases behind the cab also saw six wheel atv machines had not seen them at home

We are in AK now and at a campground in  Wassilla
I have mixed feelings about all this daylight. The young couple camped next to us got a camp fire going and sat by it and it just didn't seem right. I like a campfire when it gets dark and one can stare into the flames but here it was broad daylight at 10 pm and sunset isn't until just past 11:30 pm!
Right now we have over 19 hours of daylight of course it may come in handy if I need more time to get to a campsite. I bought a can of bear spray it was 45 dollars and that was the small can. It's one of those things like car insurance, I need it but hope I don't have to use it. I also hope if I need it I can find it in a timely manner.
I think I will head north toward Fairbanks it is warmer there than south toward Homer also Toward Homer is expecting rain the next three days. 
It is colder here than I thought it would be. I really didn't pack enough cold weather gear.
After all I live in NORTH Carolina how cold can a state be that doesn't even have NORTH in its name?
