Walking along the beach at Homer Spit

Back in Soldotna I went down to the walkway to watch them fish
This is done by trying to snag a salmon but it has to be ahead of the gills

This is another area on the Kenai River not much being caught sometimes when th fish are being caught the word spreads and areas along the river become so crowded with fishermen and fisherwomen they stand in their hip boots out in the water elbow to elbow I call it combat fishing

The eagle in this picture flew just above the water looking for lunch and decided to take a break


These pictures are not in order I am back in Homer Spit this is the boat harbor probably a thousand boats I couldn't get them all in


I feel sad for old wooden boats not like junked cars that can be melted down to be reused their parts can be sold to be used again but a n old wooden boat just sits there and decays
Next several pictures are an example of what I am talking about
