Well I went to Ashland,Wi and got my last stamp finishing my circle tour of Lake Superior.when I got back to my car I had ridden my motorcycle 2009 miles. After getting my stamp I went to Bayfield Wi to camp at Lake Superior. It is still cold any where near the Lake!
I camped there three days as I met some Indians at the camp and they invited me to go riding with them. There were three , one from the reservation just a few miles away we ended up at the casino there at Red Cliff Reservation. Ron Montano showed me the pictures on the wall of his great grandfather and other relatives he rides a Harley Trike. The other two were Garnet Mountain and Thar, didn’t get the last name.
I will include pictures of them. After two days of riding with them I left and rode to Hayward and camped for the nite at a casino they had a campground and as it was getting close to the fourth space was hard to find.
Next day I went to St Croix Falls to visit friends Hank, Cindy, dog Sailor and cat Jasper. We went to the Interstate Park it is in both Mn and Wi. We went to look at the potholes
that were formed by the glaciers. They were caused by sand and rocks swirling around large rock formations creating holes some very deep also cliffs that are popular to climb and repel on. Then we went and had rootbeer floats at the old rootbeer stand where they hang the tray on the car, remember those days. Will send some pictures of the potholes.
Stayed overnight with the Dupuis and left next morning for St Paul and the Carters. I had left my car and trailer at my nephews machine shopAnd Mindy took me over to the shop to pick them up that was Fourth of July. Their Dad, brotherTom that day was driving his pickup with large camper on it home from fishing in Alaska. He managed to share the same space with a moose. The moose lost the shoving match but Tom recurved considerable damage to his truck and being the 4th waited a considerable length of time for a tow truck. The moose was given to the next charity on the rotation list
Which is how they handle the road kill moose there is a lot of meat and the charity’s are glad to come and get it. The truck has been towed to the Ford Dealer for fixin and Tom is in a cabin at a campground, extending his visit to Alaska. Mindy and son Caleb helped me get the trailer loaded with the motorcycle and the camping trailer. Caleb is fourteen and did the muscle work and did a good job. Then Dad Rush Mindy and Caleb left for a long bicycle ride and I left for a long auto ride. So that about finishes my ride around Lake Superior, a really big lake! Will send this and then the pictures I am not smart enough to figure out how to do it all together.
