Soon out of Richland the climb started it was a steady climb of 6.5 to7 % 
I even had 7.1% a couple of times. Honestly I cannot tell the difference between 7.1%and6.7% it is all⬆️ and there are no shortcuts 

I have mentioned before that when I am physically working hard or a long time my normally dormant thought process is apt to awaken Riding long times alone with no one to talk to allows me to wander mentally I had climbed the pass and was happily flying down the downhill when what do I see, a climb right in front of me the thought that occurred to me was Just when I thought I had it made somebody removed the shade !
I was thinking of some years ago when I lived in Louisiana, I ran a t-shirt store I in the Mall in Baton Rouge for my long time best friend Chuck Taylor no relation but we would go along if somebody thought we were brothers. 
Back to my story A man came in and wanted several shirts made with his name on them we visited awhile and I found out he was a professional Bass Fisherman and fully sponsored new boat complete, fishing gear new van every year I must mention that in the South Bass fishing is a big sport  I was impressed and said " You are a great success!"
He paused and then told me to be careful how you measure "success" and he proceeded to tell me how he became successful
He lived in his van for years following the tournaments used boat and equipment and barely getting by He finally became successful enough that sponsors started to notice and pick him up several years went by while he chased his dream In that time he lost his home his wife divorced him his children will not even talk to him He said so you see I am a success!
I never forgot that lesson he taught me regarding "success" I was thinking about that today and thought I would share it
We are in a campsite Oxbow OR tomorrow we will finally cross the Snake River and enter Idaho 
I have no tower power tonight will send this when I get some
