We left the very busy very large campground,Brent left about an hour ahead of me immediately there is a climb my legs haven't had a chance to warm up and I am on a 8.5 to 9.3 grade it was just short of a mile but my legs were fried then it was climbing for most of 22 miles for a total of3057 feet I managed to fall again I was doing about 3.5 miles an hour climbing a pickup came up. but wouldn't pass me that makes me nervous when a vehicle just sits behind me so I got over close to the fog line hoping he would pass I wobbled a bit and the front wheel went off the road into soft gravel the bike stopped and if I could have gotten my left foot down I would have remained standing but not today I fell sideways onto the road still trying to get my shoe unhooked from the left pedal and out from under the bike the vehicle behind came around and pulled into the driveway just ahead of me he came running back and helped me up which I appreciated as the pavement was so hot I was getting cooked
My Garmin said it was 103 degrees but I really think it measures high I asked the guy why he didn't pass me his reply was he lived right where he had pulled in and was waiting for me to pass his driveway rather than pass me and then cut me off to get to his driveway the only one in miles I might add anyway my left knee was almost healed from my June 18 fall now it can start the healing process again also my left elbow. I arrived inCambridgeand found the campground that Brent was staying His Grandparents came from Boise to camp with us and the brought lots of food we went into Cambridge population 328 to eat dinner and found of the to eateries one had gone out of business and the outher had closed for the night
Brent's Grandfather prevail Ed on them to let us in they were very nice and we ate there today July 4th everything is closed we are going to stay here today as it seems that every thing is closed and do not want to venture out into the countryside I met a bicyclist going west I think he was from the Netherlands he loved America and was looking forward to Oregon he said he saved the best scenery for last.
