Finally got going, untenting is labor intensive. 
Stopped at a fast food and did breakfast thing got under way by 10yes am
Pittsburg to Golden City was fine I did get rained on for a while. Not very large town 760 Pop. 
Cookys Cafe was lunch. Seems they are used to cyclists and have the book to sign. When leaving they gave me a card for the hostel in Ash Grove. I asked how far and was told forty min. by car. I should never ask locals how far they don't take into consideration hills. 
I thought I was back in Colorado constant hills with many being 7 to 9.7 percent. I did make it to Ash Grove at 7:30 that evening. Mike and Wendy met me and I followed them to the house. It is in the park and belong to the city. They allow cyclists to stay there and shower and lots of food in the kitchen and refrigerator help yourself I was the only one there so I had a great time. 
The city rents the house to locals who want to have a party. There was a big bowl of fruit in the refer. I put a big dent in it. Mike informed me that the hills are going to continue and today will be tough. 
Well I will give it my best shot after all I came out here to ride my bike ,not complain. I was out on the road so long I got both the morning rain and the afternoon rain, who needs a shower?
I rode 73 miles and climbed2418 feet.
